The Writing Love Affair.

The the world of writing is one that is comprised of love and disappointment until it's not. The way I see it there are three types of writers, the learners, the gifted, and doers. Doing it is half the battle. Thinking about writing and not doing it, can simple become a journey of codependency.

I have been in all three categories and I am sure you will find that all successful writers have lived in all of the above mentioned worlds.

Learners, it's where we all start, it's when you take your secret pages to editor and find out if there is a shot in hell you can tell a compelling story.

Gifted, is the hard fact, every writer must uncover his or her gift. Great writers, like any great singer, actor, or artist has a fundamental gift in the core of their soul.  It's the only thing that quenches their thirst in life, its place they lose time and forget about the world around them.

Doers, that is the crazy-maker place where you hide from the truth, making a thousand excuses why you can't write, until not writing drives you crazy.
